New Guidelines are being introduced by the Reiki Regulation Working Group. They form the first step in the consultation process with Reiki practitioners, Reiki teachers and other interested parties on the future self-regulation of Reiki and the establishment of a single voluntary register of professional Reiki practitioners. If you, as a practitioner or as a master teacher, are as concerned as I am about the lack of and adherence to some form of regulation covering the practice and teaching of Reiki you will be interested in participating in the consultation process that is currently underway.

Please click on the link to go to Reiki Regulation Working Group

New Guidelines that are being introduced will mean that Reiki practitioners will be Licensed to practice Reiki and that the Reiki course will consist of an initial 2 day course followed by a written element and practice period where that practitioner will present case notes of consultations carried out during a probationary period.
As far as we are concerned at The Lightworkers Foundation, we welcome these new changes and invite you to comment with your views on the subject. We appreciate that not everyone taking 2nd Degree may want to practice in the community at large and in view of this your comments will be welcome and your responses will be posted on this page. If you are a practitioner who would like to develop your skills and be part of a recognised group of professionals please contact Master Teacher Soraya by clicking on the link above.

When you have passed your driving test and can drive your car does that qualify you to teach others to drive and give them a pass? This is what you should expect"
1st Degree: You learn how to treat yourself and others.
2nd Degree Reiki : This level gives the student sight and sound of the three 1st Degree Reiki Symbols. This empowers the student and enriches the students knowledge and takes them to what is known as the Practitioner Level.
3rd Degree Reiki (Master Level): This is the Master Level of Reiki . The two 2nd Degree symbols are taught and a greater commitment on the part of the student is required and a further bond is forged between student and master. At Master level the new master can Attune students to 2nd Degree level as pert of the healing process in cases of serious or terminal illness or injury but no further. This is not license to teach Reiki . Reiki can only be taught once the student has completed a teaching course.
Written Aspect At the end of each course the student is presented with the appropriate 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or Reiki Teaching Manual and as with all courses further study in person or by correspondence will be necessary. Practice sessions are participated in during a six week period from the date of the course and submissions are required for evaluation. Once they have been reviewed any required recommendations will be made and before Diplomas are issued. There is no fail as students are supported until they have acheived a level of competence.

This levelfurther empowers and it is the culmination of the entire training programme and is generally an ongoing relationship between the master teacher and his or her Master Teacher until the new teacher is ready to become independent. This course takes at least one year to complete.
