Reiki The Usui Tibetan System of Natural Healing.
Reiki, pronounced ray-key, is the Japanese term for universal life energy.

The SCMA based in Scotland with you in mind.

How many times have you seen adverts for Reiki courses offering to teach you
to Master level in two days with no previous Reiki experience?
Haven't you wondered how that can be?
Have you been told that you don't need insurance to practice Reiki?

In the past it was customary that Reiki Courses were run over a two day period with little or no paperwork
or probationary period involved and unfortunately some people have felt that they have wasted their time and money only to be left feeling dissatisfied, disappointed and unfulfilled not to mention out of pocket. Thankfully things have and are changing through the introduction of Voluntary Self Regulation (VSR).

"I have often been asked if students have to train to be a Reiki Master Teacher or is it enough just to be trained as a Master - my responce is When you have passed your driving test and can drive your car does that qualify you to teach others to drive and give them a pass? This is what you should expect"
1st Degree: You learn how to treat yourself and others.
2nd Degree Reiki : This level gives the student sight and sound of the three 1st Degree Reiki Symbols. This empowers the student and enriches the students knowledge and takes them to what is known as the Practitioner Level.
3rd Degree Reiki (Master Level): This is the Master Level of Reiki . The two 2nd Degree symbols are taught and a greater commitment on the part of the student is required and a further bond is forged between student and master. At Master level the new master can Attune students to 2nd Degree level as pert of the healing process in cases of serious or terminal illness or injury but no further. This is not license to teach Reiki . Reiki can only be taught once the student has completed a teaching course.
Written Aspect At the end of each course the student is presented with the appropriate 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or Reiki Teaching Manual and as with all courses further study in person or by correspondence will be necessary. Practice sessions are participated in during a six week period from the date of the course and submissions are required for evaluation. Once they have been reviewed any required recommendations will be made and before Diplomas are issued. There is no fail as students are supported until they have acheived a level of competence.
Master Teacher:
The Usui Master Symbol is taught. The Usui Master Symbol completes the awareness of the other five symbols taught at Levels II and Master level. During teacher training Master Teachers are taught how to teach and Attune up to master level. This levelfurther empowers and it is the culmination of the entire training programme and is generally an ongoing relationship between the master teacher and his or her Master Teacher until the new teacher is ready to become independent. This course takes at least one year to complete.
